Car Detailing in Lehigh Valley

There are a couple of things that I'm passionate about. One of them is car detailing. Ever since my buddy Quitze showed me how to wax my Jetta, I've been on a non-stop mission ever since to find the best techniques for beautifying cars. I've spent way too much money on trying every off-the-shelf products and have come a long way in perfecting my technique for beautifying cars. I've finally committed to starting up a car detailing service and am in process of creating and designing the new site: Illuminated Detail for my service.

Among the most important qualities in a car detail is the prep before the Wax is coated on.

Here's my process:

Initial Wash
The vehicle is washed with a PH neutral shampoo and a soft sponge to remove the largest pieces of dirt

Wheel Wash
Road grime, tar and brake dust is meticulously removed from the wheels and wheel wells using a non-acidic gel.

Decontamination
Even after an initial wash, there are still many contaminants that have bonded with the paint's surface. This micro debris is decontaminated with a clay bar and solution.

Rinse and Wash
A second wash is applied to remove clay bar residue.

Drying
The softest microfiber towels and compressed air are used to remove water in hard to reach areas.

Paintwork Correction
Light scratches and swirls are buffed.

Wheel Protection
Wheels are polished and protected with wax. Tires are treated with a long-lasting gel protectant.

Prewax Cleansing
Prewax cleaner is applied to ensure a 100% bonding of the wax application

Plastic polishing
Headlights, trim, and other plastics are polished and protected.

Windshield Cleansing
Windows are cleaned and polished with a water repellant treatment for improved visibility in bad weather.

Interior
The interior carpet is treated for stains and all debris is thoroughly removed. Leather is cleansed and conditioned for long-lasting protection.
