Context: 8PM, just finished showering and cutting hair after cleaning house from general neglect from the crazy weeks commuting to Nasdaq from Allentown.
Since my Service Electric/Prolog/PTD in the Lehigh Valley limits bandwidth to 7Mb down and 800Kbit up with a 50G cap per month, I canceled my limited basic television and got business class cable internet for $59.95/month + taxes versus the $55 (inc taxes) I was paying. To explain the $55/month rate, I got grandfathered in for $30/month internet as I had a customer supplied modem + $18 limited basic cable and the other misc fees. However, since no one in our home watches TV, i got rid of the TV services and upped the internet.
One of the interesting things about the Service Electric internet service is that they give you two IPs, so that two devices can get an IP from the cable modem. My observations show that each IP gets around 800KB/sec down and 200KB/sec up. With 2 IPs, one can theoretically double up on the bandwidth available.*
Today, I've come to realize that I am far more of an introvert than I am an extrovert. I never missed a beat when it came to answering those questionnaires about one's self. Myers Briggs classifies individuals based on introvertedness and extrovertedness. I would remember that many a time, I would answer the questions in a way that showed me to be an extrovert: the life of the party, attention seeker, energized by large groups. Indeed just a couple years ago, I did possess extroverted qualities. However as time has gone by, I have reverted to a scene that is far more familiar to my younger years.
Many of us get a SAN to improve the performance of IO intensive applications such as databases. Typically, these SANs come with huge 2-4-8 or more GB caches. This means that the SAN is able to queue and handle a massive number of IO requests while it flushes the requests to disk at its leisure.
I'm been testing out Dspam's to change over from SpamAssassin at work.
In my opinion there are a couple deficiencies with the original interface that needed to be adjusted. In my adjustments to the webinterface, I've added a couple functions.

Humans are inevitably creatures of habit. We go back and seek the familiar. Even those who claim habitual change in the quest for truth and perfection or any other reason need constants. True change is rare and hard-earned through diligent and constant determination.
So a couple of weeks ago, I was driving on I-495 and as usual traffic was heavy as usual. I had some bad luck that day, because as I was cruising along, I saw a rock get thrown up from the stupid van in front of me. This marble sized rock started heading towards my car in slow motion. The inevitable happened and my windshield got chipped. There was a dime-sized chip a little less than the size of a dime staring it's ugly laurels at me each time I drove.
I was standing in line to get a simple cup of coffee. Just some hot water run through roasted, crushed coffee beans with a splice of milk and sugar. Just enough h2o bathed on caffeine goodness for the morning jolt that would power my day. It couldn't be more simpler, but as I watched what I believed to be the coffee elite in front of me spout their incomprehensible personal drink orders I couldn't help but stand in awe of what I did not know. Their tone of voice could convince any bystander that their drink was the creme de la creme of all drinks to be. "I'd like to have the Caramel Macchiato with an extra shot of espresso and please free pour the cream base and substitute it with organic alternative..." I couldn't help but wonder if there was a correlation between taste and the complexity of the drink name. Or perhaps there's a correlation between pride and drink complexity name.
